Action for Sustainable Living – winner of the Guardian Charity Award 2008 – is seeking to appoint a new team:
Part-time Development Worker (0.5)
Part-time Community/Schools Co-ordinators (2 posts, 0.5)
Part-time Volunteer Co-ordinator (0.5)
Part-time Administrator (0.5)
If you want a challenge, look no further! This far-reaching project across the communities of South Manchester is funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. The team will engage local people and partners in community environment projects. These posts and the project will run until 31st January 2014.
The Development Workerwill lead this important project, to achieve outcomes which result inlasting change in the communities involved. Their main focus is tofoster partnerships, deliver the programme effectively and maximise itsbenefits. Salary pro rata £26,500 - £28,750 (£13,250 - £14,375)
Community/Schools Coordinators willpromote and embed sustainability through projects in one or more areas,working with and through a team of voluntary Local Project Managers. Salary pro rata £23,050 - £25,420 (£11,525 - £12,710).
The Volunteer Co-ordinator will support Community/Schools Co-ordinators in engaging local people, especially in areas of high deprivation. They will recruit, signpost and advise volunteers and continue to improve the systems and support for volunteering. Salary pro rata £23,050 - £25,420 (£11,525 - £12,710).
The Administratorwill support the team delivering this project, ensuring the smoothrunning of the office and providing day to day administrative supportto paid staff and volunteers. Salary £15,500 - £16,500 pro rata (£7,750 - £8,250)
