January Newsletter
Hi and welcome to a fresh, long john clad, new year!
We hope that you are all refreshed from the holiday and staying warm and safe with the treacherous conditions.
There is a lot of exciting stuff going on in January with students raising money for us, a Green Band Night, an opportunity to swap those unwanted Christmas gifts, get yourself a new wardrobe at a Swap Shop and lots of fun social and volunteering opportunities....plus much, much more!
We have also booked a date for the AGM and are looking to confirm details over the next week, so make sure you keep the date free and your eyes peeled for the updates!
We'd also like to welcome to our team new Local Project Manager for Moss Side, Adele Murray, who is planning on setting up a knitting & crafting workshop in the form of a regular informal social gathering, dates TBC. If you would be interested in being notified about further developments, please email adele.murray@afsl.org to be added to a mailing list.
Have fun and see you all soon.
PS Don't forget to send us your ideas for the Summer Fundraiser!

It is the year 2055 and global warming has finally taken its toll on the planet.
This ambitious documentary/drama/animation hybrid stars Pete Postlethwaite as an archivist in the devastated world of the future, asking the question: "Why didn't we stop climate change when we still had the chance?" He looks back on footage of real people around the world in the years leading up to 2015 before runaway climate change took place
