The group is trying to expand its membership to include an even more diverse range of attendees from different disciplines and student societies/interest groups. Further, that the SSSG aims to act as both a forum and a representative steering group through which students at the university could:

£40,000 of funding is being offered by Food Futures to voluntary and community sector organisations that wish to collaborate on projects to promote a healthier lifestyle through healthy eating and local food. Organisations are invited to a launch event in which there will be a presentation about the Commissioning Programme, followed by a workshop where there will be an opportunity to explore how the collaborative process will work, and how they may contribute to and benefit from it.

As you might be aware the Woodhead Tunnel, vital for a re-opened freight
service on the rail line between Sheffield and Manchester, faces
permanent closure to trains due to an impending decision by the National
Grid to use the tunnel for cabling. Attending the meeting puts you under
no obligation to take part in the campaign or take on any
