Manchester's Critical Commute happens on the last Friday of every month.
The purpose of Critical Commute is:
- to make cycling visible to drivers and demonstrate that it's a viable way to get around;
- if you haven't cycled for a while, it's a chance to enjoy safety in numbers and learn from others who have more experience;
- to have fun.
It is entirely law abiding and does not attempt to stop or slow down traffic.
The starting points are as follows:

VEGANISM AND CLIMATE CHANGE
A night of films, food and talks...
Veganism is a climate issue, an animal rights issue and a health issue. Producing one calorie of animal protein requires more than 10 times as much fossil fuel input as a calorie of plant protein. By rearing animals to satisfy our appetite for meat and dairy products, we are harming animals, the planet, future generations and ourselves.
