Birchfields Festival Start: 12:00 pm End: 12:59 pm A celebration and reflection on the activities that the forest garden has hosted and inspired, the various contributions and knowledge shared. Festival in Birchfields Park Start: 1:00 pm End: 5:00 pm The Friends of Birchfield Park are hosting a community festival in the park. Come along and enjoy a great day out, a bouncy castle, a birds of prey display, children's sport sessions, music and refreshments. For more info contact Sheenagh Young on 225 0884. Chorlton Park Summer Funday Start: 1:00 pm End: 6:00 pm A fun, action packed, summer festival in the park. What more could you want on a summer's saturday! There will be music, sports, stalls, even a climbing wall. Bring all your family and friends and a picnic. AfSL will be holding a stall with Chorlton Plant Swap, so come along for a chat, and if you have any plants or seeds you want to swap, or simply give away, bring those along too! Guerilla Gardening Meet Up Start: 4:00 pm End: 7:00 pm We need to create beds for the flowers we have already planted. So far they have simply been planted amongst the grass and clover and weeds. We need to uproot the grass and clover and weeds from around the plants to give them a better chance to survive and to highlight their presence.
