AFSL will be there with the teepee and a raised bed promoting "Growing Your Own Organic Food" and calculating individual's carbon footprints. Rubbish Revamped workshops offer a fun way to turn your junk into something more attractive and useful.
Come and spend an hour planning and practising cycling to school/work along Trafford's cycle ways.
Families of the school: Meet at St. Michael's school at 9am and plan a safe route home again on your bike/scooter or just walking. If you live over 2 miles away why not find out about local buses that could get you to and from school?
Mums and dads could try planning a cycle rout to and from work too.
Come and sign a pledge to try to ditch the car at least one day a week and Act on Climate Change Now!

The course will be delivered by Martin Oldham, Secretary of the Southern
Allotment Society and Chairman of AMAS who has a wealth of experience in
growing on Manchester soil!
The workshop outline:
1 Intro
2 Basics Soil, Plant growth, Feeding
3 Look round Martin's plot
4 Cultivation techniques In the ground, in beds, in containers
5 Plants Sowing, Transplanting, Growing, Picking.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
The Event will focus on methods of using energy more efficiently within the home. it will raise awareness of the importance of saving energy and reducing climate change.
There will be infomation, advice and guidance available for local resident's within the Moss Side area to educate and inform them of simple measures on how to make their homes much more energy efficient.

Back by popular demand, we’re happy to offer another fun session turning old bottles of pop into gorgeous totally slug-proof flowers. Gather your old bottles (small, coloured ones look best), wire coats hangers and decorative bits and bobs - like beads from broken jewellery - to join us for this workshop.
£10.00 a session (or six for £50), cake included!
