Trafford Aims for Fairtrade Status

Altrincham achieved Fairtrade Town status in 2006, but now wewant the whole borough to be recognised as a hotbed of ethical shopping.  Trafford is applying to become a FairtradeBorough and Trafford Council is asking foryour help. Sharman Frost, Senior Sustainability Officer at Trafford Council, isasking residents to send her the details of any local shops and businesses,which aren’t part of a national chain, that offer or sell Fairtrade products.

Ifyou do see the Fairtrade sign whilst you’re out and about in the Borough, pleasemake a note of the location and email Sharman with the details at sharman.frost [at] trafford.gov.uk
