Local Project Managers

Local Project Managers volunteer in their community to develop an idea into a fully functioning sustainability project that benefits the environment. Our experienced coordinators provide Local Project Managers with accredited training  and dedicated coaching support, completely free.

 

Last year we helped 45 local people to start the project of their dreams, bringing their neighbourhoods up to a sustainable beat. Here are 4 projects to give you a clearer picture of what people are doing:

 

 

No experience is necessary to become a Local Project Manager, you just need the time and commitment to make your project happen. We will provide you with project management training and tailored support.

 

We can help you to apply for funding, and we can fund any volunteering expenses too, such as transport costs and a bite to eat.

Being a Local Project Manager is an great way for you to make a positive contribution to your community whilst learning heaps of new skills and improving your employability, you can even use the experience to set yourself up in business.

 

How does it work?

  1. Register your interest by calling one of our experienced coordinators, phone 0161 237 3357 and ask to speak to Kate, Erika or Jo.   We’ll ask you to sum up your idea in an application form (which you can download at the bottom of this page), followed by a friendly interview.
  2. Attend project management training that is tailored to your needs and learning style
  3. Receive coaching support that will bring your idea to life, and make your project a reality.
