Hello from AfSL,

February is a busy month for AfSL and this newsletter is packed with what we’ve got coming up this month.

Green Seeds has really kicked off, with the launch of the South Manchester Environmental Forum and the Green Survey. There are also details of AfSL’s Annual General Meeting and who to contact if you’d like to attend.

Hello volunteers!

The next Volunteer Social will be Wednesday 16th February 5 - 7 pm Nexus Arts Cafe. A hot cuppa on the charity for all volunteers. AfSL's Bees, is going to perform a few tunes and sing a few songs - check him out on http://www.myspace.com/beemonk

Happy (belated) New Year from Action for Sustainable Living!

Hello and welcome to the first newsletter of 2011. This year promises to be a huge for AfSL with work that will help shape the local, and possibly even national, sustainability agenda.

The South Manchester Environmental Forum (SMEF) will bring schools, hospitals, green groups, housing associations and councilors together to discuss the future of sustainability in the area.

It's the season for resolutions and starting off on the right foot, so why not get stuck in to some new volunteering opportunities?

We've some great new projects starting in 2011, including our first event led by local residents in Stockport! Some of our newest LPMs will be having their first events and meetings too. Also keep an eye out for exciting developments coming soon relating to new schools and community energy projects - expect to hear about that in the AfSL Newsletter soon.
