Yes, YOU can really make a difference. The Energy Academy is an exciting new initiative to deliver financial, health and environmental benefits forcommunities in the Altrincham area.
The Academy builds on the skills, knowledge and experience of Trafford Council, Action for Sustainable Living, Manchester: Knowledge Capital and the Energy Savings Trust to build a supported volunteer network to engage, enthuse, advise and support residents in maximising the energy efficiency of their homes.
Local Project Managers attend events, give talks and workshops and set up local action groups and projects. Previous Local Project Managers have set up community allotment projects, fair trade societies, energy action teams,composting schemes, local shop campaigns and much more besides.
The role is a challenging yet rewarding one; you will develop new skills, meet new people and really feel like you are making a difference. If you are an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual able to offer 6 - 8 hours per week,why not nominate yourself for this unique opportunity?

These posts are available for a minimum period of 6 months. No previous experience required.
