The Lost Plot is an organic community allotment project started three years ago to encourage residents of Chorlton and the surrounding areas to get involved in food growing and community participation.
The Lost Plot was initiated by Action for Sustainable Living, involving local volunteers. The Lost Plot has been designed around the principles of permaculture.
The Lost Plot is a community group that works together to grow organic produce for the benefit of group members. We are here for people who might not have the necessary skills, money or time to have access to allotment land for the cultivation of fresh food, herbs and plants. The emphasis of the group is on working together as a team and encouraging new skills and ideas. Our friendly group is welcoming and sharing with all its’ produce.
The Lost Plot would like to be used as a resource to help the wider community gain information about food growing. We are welcome to all suggestions of potential partnerships and would love for the plot to be used by different community groups to undertake workshops on food-growing.
The Lost Plot welcomes all new members from the community.
The Lost Plot undertakes workshops on a regular basis to engage people about food growing, e.g. Introduction to permaculture, organic growing etc.
