Action for Sustainable Living (AfSL) offers bespoke training in supporting volunteers and creating sustainable communities. Our training services are suited to a variety of Organisations from different areas of society. For more information please read the AfSL Training brochure.

 

New! Carbon Literacy Training (accredited)

Carbon Literacy Training combats carbon confusion head on and motivates employees, tenants and students to reduce energy use. The training provides all you need to know about climate change and facilitates understanding of what can be done about it. Green Champions

Green Champions is our lift-off training, for any business or organisation wanting to generate action on sustainability among employees. Energy Academy

Energy Academy focuses on the very practical steps that help to build the capacity of staff members to save money, energy and carbon both at work and in their own homes. For staff who wish to take their learning and experience back to their local community and share their knowledge with family, friends and neighbours, additional Energy Champions/Energy Awareness sessions are available. For more information please see the Energy Academy Page or read the AfSL Training brochure.

 

Local Project Managers (Optional ASDAN Level 3 accreditation)

Local Project Managers volunteer in their community, workplace or place of study to develop an idea into a fully functioning sustainability project. This programme has supported many of the sustainability projects now underway in South from the Fallowfield Secret Garden to Radisson Hotel Rooftop Gardens. For more information please see the Start Your Own Project Page or read the AfSL Training brochure.

 

Volunteering at an Event (Optional ASDAN Level 2 accreditation)

Our action focused event volunteering training sees participants planning, organising and delivering a one-off event or project around sustainability. With the guidance and support of a Volunteer Coordinator, participants work together as a team to realise an awe-inspiring environmental event.
