Trafford Council in partnership with Action for Sustainable Living wants to make Trafford a cleaner, greener more sustainable place to live in.

Altrincham, Sale, Stretford and Urmston are the major towns which together with their surrounding villages combine to make the Borough of Trafford. Bordering Salford in the North, Manchester in the Northwest and Cheshire in the South, Trafford is a borough of contrasts and diversity.

Trafford has a rich history and heritage of parks and greenspace, rooted in the local urban character and providing a stage for a wide range of activities which both reflect and define the local culture.

Polar Bear takes small steps in Trafford

Alongside the roll-out of our community program in Trafford, AfSL is partnering with the council in a pilot project to support six primary schools in reducing their energy consumption.
