Volunteer of the Month, March 2008- for being such an inspiration behind the success of AfSL's FEW small steps, schools programme.

I am helping AfSL in the ongoing FEW Small Steps Programme. This programme aims to inspire younger generations to act upon sustainability. I am grateful to the AfSL team for allowing me to be part of their work.

Hi, my name is Karen Andrew, Assistant Project Officer for F4C Manchester. I'm here until 31st March, 2008 and in that time I will be working mainly on 2 projects: Merseyside Green Streets campaign, with my Merseyside colleague, we will deliver the consultation and evaluation process for the planting of 120 trees in 3 areas. I am also supporting Withington and Fallowield Churches Together Environment/Climate Change project with Owen and Jenny of AfSL

I have always had an interest in environmental issues and previously wrote articles for a lifestyle magazine on environmental issues in Botswana. My key interests are in recycling and the arts , organic food.
