Happy New Year!
It's the season for resolutions and starting off on the right foot, so why not get stuck in to some new volunteering opportunities?
We've some great new projects starting in 2011, including our first event led by local residents in Stockport! Some of our newest LPMs will be having their first events and meetings too. Also keep an eye out for exciting developments coming soon relating to new schools and community energy projects - expect to hear about that in the AfSL Newsletter soon.
I hope all of you will be helping to spreading the AfSL message further than ever in 2011 - small changes add up to a big difference!
Best wishes,
Colin Bennett

The Positive Flixton Project Volunteers could help meet and greet, and with helping provide refreshments for everyone. This is a new community group so it's really important to make a good first impression! The group is about developing local pride in Flixton. It will aim to address concerns that Flixton is being subsumed by Urmston, despite Flixton having it's own unique character and a lot to offer, including a lot of historical interest. The group will focus on what is going on in Flixton, groups that are based there or talks about local history. Contact Alison Cavanagh by email at alison.cavanagh@afsl.org.uk.

The exact date and location have not been confirmed yet - sign up to the Eco Arts Ardwick Facebook page to hear all the details asap, or contact Beccy Krahenbuhl by email at rebecca.krahenbuhl@afsl.org.uk.
