Community groups

AfSL can support existing community groups to take action on sustainability, we can also bring different groups together to take action.

We do this by offering talks to groups, or meeting with groups to discuss projects they may want to set up, for example a recycling group or a group to tackle energy issues in the locality.

See our Projects Section for more information on the different kinds of work we do with community groups.

At present we have several Local Project Mangers working in different communities around . They will be happy to meet with you and discuss any sustainable living project ideas you have in mind for your locality.

Contact Claire D'Ambra to find out more about what AfSL links are available in your community.

AfSL volunteers and Hulme Food Group members worked together with the Zion Community Centre to put on a Food & Health day. As well as a delicious free lunch, healthy smoothies and a chocolate fountain; attendees were offered free massage, laughter therapy workshops and more - all to help brush those winter blues away.
