The Friends of St. Michael's are a group of friendly folk who are working towards making Flixton more sustainable through activities such as litter picking, promoting safe routes to school, running Fair Trade events, recycling clothes, jewellery, mobile phones as well as everyday waste.We meet once a half term to decide what to do as well as try and help the school. our next meeting is 30th March at 6:30pm at St. Michael's Primary School, The Grove, Flixton, Manchester M41 6JB.This Spring we will be hosting: Fairtrade coffee morning on Thursday 5th March-9-10amSafe Cycling for the family-a sponsored cycling event making the most of local cycle paths -Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th April 5thClothe Swap Shop-29th April.We also meet each Sunday morning for just 1 hour between 10-11am to do a spot of gardening to help grow organic healthy food for the school and make homes for wildlife.

Trafford Aims for Fairtrade Status
