Hulme

Hulme is an Inner City area that lies less than a mile South of the City Centre. There is a Hulme Market Hall which has a selection of both food and craft stalls.

There are community business within the area such as the Hulme Garden Centre and organic food store. The area contains Community Gardens which make the area a more pleasant place to both live and work. Some examples are the Zion Therapeutic Garden, Adactus Herb Garden and the Hornchurch Community Allotment.

Hulme also has Public Parks, St George's Park and Hulme Park which consists of 29 acres of green open space.

AFSL aims to encourage the local area to live sustainable lives. We aim to achieve this success through community engagement events.

We are planning an environmental walk which will incorporate both Hulme and Moss Side residents. The objective is to connect the younger and Senior Citizen generations participating and engaging with each other on the importance of lowering their Carbon Foot Print.

ANDREW ANDREW CHINUCK

Hi, I am the Local Project Manager for both Moss Side and Hulme Wards. My main aim is to make a difference, through informing local residents within these communities on methods about being aware of living more sustainable. I feel educating people about caring for the environment and its resources is a priority and I will make large steps to bring about a positive influence within Moss Side and Hulme.
