Levenshulme

The historical society in Levenshulme invited me to their meeting, during the event I had a talk show introducing Afsl ,who we are and what we do . There was a lot of positive feedback from people present people were already doing their bit to help towards a more sustainable world they needed  that extra bit of support and information to help them along. The event was fun filled . The youngest visitor to the event was 6 months old Adora Eke-Akinpelu who had a nice day.

Hi I'm Matt.

I've just started working for Afsl but have had a keen interest in environmental issues for as long as I can remember. I obtained a degree in Urban Development at Leeds Metropolitan University, which obviously stands me in good stead when it comes to the environmental impact that our towns and cities can have on the natural world, but also gave me an understanding of how these effects can be mitigated.

Volunteer of the Month January 2010! Wendy Allport, Local Project Manager for Levenshulme

Wendy Allport

Hi, I am a Local Project Manager for Levenshulme.  I aim to reach people in the Levenshulme area, through organising events which local residents can become involved in and through providing information on sustainable issues.  This includes understanding sustainability and how to make it workable for the individual and the community.  For sustainability to be appealing to all, it needs to be accessible.
