Run for Rights and ‘pick up the pace’ on the plight of the estimated 200 million environmental refugees whose land may be lost by 2050 as a result of climate change. Join EJF’s ‘cool runnings’ team!
The 5km Manchester Run will take place at Heaton Park in Manchester on Sunday 11th October 2009. EJF is looking for an energetic team to run, walk or crawl around the park on behalf of their ‘No Place Like Home’ campaign giving a voice to the millions of people forced from their homes and land because of climate change.
Who can take part?
We welcome individuals or teams to join; the run is perfectly achievable for anyone with an ‘average’ fitness level, a decent pair of running shoes and the desire to make a real difference!
Where and when will it happen?
Sunday 11th October 2009
Heaton Park, Manchester
10am (exact times and route will be released over the coming weeks)
What do I need to do?
All you have to do is pay a small registration fee of £20 and raise the minimum sponsorship of £150; all of which will help EJF address human rights and environmental abuse around the world, then pick up the pace and run for rights around Heaton Park!
Once you’re registered we’ll support you wherever we can, with ‘getting fit tips’, kit hints and fundraising ideas.
Register for the 5k Run Online or request more info and the registration form from Larissa Clark larissa.clark@ejfoundation.org. To talk to us call 0207 239 3310.
Put your best foot forward for positive action on climate change and help EJF protect people and planet on this brilliant 5km run!
