All cyclists, current and prospective, ex-cyclists and
anybody with an interest are urged to attend a University-wide public meeting at
1pm (prompt!) on Wednesday 9 April in the Alan Turing Building (details
below).
Manchester City Council's Cycling Officer, Mark Stevenson,
will be discussing the council's plans for improving cycling facilities within
the University area. We shall also be taking ideas for June's "Bike to Work"
day. A draft agenda is attached.
So, if you're concerned about cycling facilities, are eager
to help potential cyclists or just want to know more, please RSVP.
The meeting will have finished by 2pm but Mark has kindly
agreed to be available for up to 30 minutes afterwards to continue any
discussion.
