Who is this free event for?

Teachers and pupils wanting to get involved in fair trade issues in their school.  Will help you with:

  • OfSted Evaluation Criteria

  • Every Child Matters

  • Eco-schools

  • Healthy Schools

  • Enterprise Education

Interested in Fair Trade? Learn how to get involved here!

This event is for everyone in the Greater area working in education who wants to help schools become part of the fair trade movement. In particular we would like teachers to come and bring one or two pupils with them. Activities and workshops will be interactive, informative and practical — the aim is for you to return to your schools enthused and enabled to use Fairtrade to fulfil the Every Child Matters outcomes on ‘Making a positive contribution’, ‘Enhance and enrich the curriculum’ and ‘Enjoy economic well-being.’

  • Discuss the proposed FT school guidelines from the Fairtrade Foundation and what they mean to you

  • Hear what a dried-mango producer from Burkina Faso has to say about Fairtrade

  • Get ideas of how to include Fairtrade issues within and beyond the curriculum

  • Chat to others in the same position!

  • Workshops run by schools involved in fair trade already
