What can I do????

There is lots you can do as an individual to start taking small steps to change the world!
There are many different ways AfSL can support you to live in a more ethical way and to lessen your eco-footprint...

Try clicking on some of these links to find out how.......

  • Join a local Action Group or Project - find out if there's one in your local area.
  • Make a pledge to take small steps to change the world - and hear back from us to! We'll support you to keep your pledges.
  • Volunteer with AfSL to do anything from dressing up as an inflatable pumpkin at an event to encourage people to grow their own food.... to helping to write articles for us. We have lots of volunteering opportunities.
  • Fancy yourself as an Eco Angel, an Eco Gorilla or even and Eco Guru? Find out more here.
  • Apply to become a Local Project Manager in your locality - volunteer 8 hours a week for 6 months and let us help you get your foot on the environmental career ladder.

Small Steps Calendar 2006/2007

MMU Small Steps Calendar designed and produced by AfSL & volunteers

AfSL were contracted by Manchester Metropolitan University to coordinate the production of a 'Small Steps to Change The World' academic calendar for students starting at the university. AfSL staff and volunteers worked together with MMU People & Planet to produce the content which covered twelve different sustainable living topics and included interesting facts, important dates and top tips - plus original contributions from local artists.
