Hi, I'm the Local Project Manager for Stretford. I'm looking forward to working with local residents on sustainability issues and helping to bring about positive change. Currently I'm working on setting up events in the area, ideas are: Urban Gardening, Jumble Swap, and The Green Household. If you would like to get involved, or you have any ideas or suggestions to help make Stretford a greener place to live, please contact me. |
Local Project Managers
Local Project Managers (LPMs) in our localities volunteer to help people take small steps to change the world. LPMs set up and support issue-based action groups, and encourage individuals and other groups to take action on sustainable living.
LPMs typically volunteer 8 hours a week for 6 months or more, after which time we actively help them to look for funds to cover their post. Find out more about our current LPMs below.

I try to think about where my household and consumables come from and am a great fan of ethical fashion. I love cooking and get my ingredients through my local farmers market, and veg box schemes. It is good to know where your food comes from and this way it tastes so much better. I am also a user of ethical banking, as i think it is important to make a stand and take your money where it will do some good and ensure it is not used to fund unethical organisations. |

Like many people I am concerned about climate change and the ways in which energy is both used and wasted. I believe that awareness and education are key to bringing about the small steps that can lead to big changes. I am looking forward to getting to know the Gorse Hill/Lostock area and its residents, working with them to help make these changes in a fun and constructive way. |
