It is my responsibility to make sure all the work done by AfSL volunteers and staff is promoted as widely as possible helping to establish AfSL as a household name in the field of sustainability. I am passionate about recycling and energy efficiency and am also in the process of setting up a small vegetable patch in my garden, I’ll let you know how it goes! |

Volunteer of the Month, February 2009. Not only has Sally put amazing amounts of energy and work into her role as Local Project Manager, but she has also proved an invaluable schools volunteer too. Her commitment has been very impressive and achievements great as a result. I have held interactive energy efficiency forums in Gorse Hill and Lostock which have focused on gas, electricity and water consumption, working together with various community groups and organisations to deliver information in fun and interesting ways! |

I have really enjoyed my time as the Local Project Manager for Timperley, I got a lot out of it, learnt a lot and met some smashing people. Whether I'm more conscious of sustainable living or whether everyone is more aware these days because of the raised profile in the media; I'm certainly going to reduce my carbon footprint. I'm going to carry on helping at AfSL but in a different capacity, helping out at events and spreading the word. |
